Partner referral terms.

1. The reward

When a business you refer becomes a Localmade client, we pay you 50% of that business’s first website build fee. For example, a $500 premade website earns you $250.

The reward is based on the build fee the client actually pays, after any discounts and before taxes. It does not include monthly care, hosting, subscriptions, hourly work, third-party costs or any later projects. There’s one reward per referred business.

2. What counts as a referral

• You submit the business through the referral form before they contact us themselves.
• We weren’t already in conversation with that business, and nobody referred them before you did.
• The business signs up and pays its build fee within 6 months of your referral.
• You personally know the business, or have a genuine reason to recommend us to them, and you’ve told them we’ll be in touch.

You can’t refer your own business, a business you own or manage, or yourself. Localmade team members aren’t eligible. If two people refer the same business, the first complete referral we receive counts.

3. When and how you’re paid

We pay once the client has paid the build fee in full and their 90-day build-fee refund window has passed without a refund. We aim to pay within 30 days after that, by bank transfer or another method we agree with you.

Before we can pay, we’ll ask for the details we need to pay you and to meet our tax obligations, such as a W-9 for U.S. partners. You’re responsible for any taxes on what you earn. If a client is refunded before the window closes, no reward is due.

4. How to recommend us

• Be honest. Don’t make promises on our behalf about prices, results, rankings or timelines.
• If you recommend us publicly (on social media, a blog or a newsletter), say clearly that you may earn a referral reward.
• No spam, no buying ads on the Localmade name, and no websites or accounts that look like ours.
• You’re an independent partner, not a Localmade employee or agent, and you can’t sign anything or agree terms for us.

5. Privacy

We use the details you send us to contact the business you referred, to keep you updated, and to pay any reward. Only share someone’s contact details if they’re happy for you to do so. See our privacy notice for more.

6. Changes and ending the program

We may change or end the program by updating this page. Referrals we received before a change keep the terms that applied when you sent them. We can decline a referral or withhold a reward if these terms are broken, and we decide eligibility in good faith.
